- Now adding in a defender + a striker.
- Attackers now play a pass into the striker who lays it off for the incoming attackers in 1 or 2 touches
- Last line of cones/mannuequins acts as the offside line.
CPs
- Forward passes/ speed of runs
- Ask players for atleast one run around (overlap/underlap)
- Avoid playing pass down the same line. Diagnal passes.
- Defender can press if its 2 touches.
-Striker can check towards the ball, move freely.
- 3rd man runs, following players hold runs for the set back
- Dont have to pass to Striker if it's not on
- Only introduce the offside rule later on.

- Player initiate play with the square pass to one of the teammates.
This player then plays a pass into the Striker who sets the ball off for one of the incoming attackers.
- The 5 players then combine with eachother to score vs the two defenders
.-Once a shot has been taken, coach will then play another pass into the middle of the box for once of the defenders to drop back and collect.
-Defenders will push the remaining attackers up and now a new attack has started. The two cones/mannuequins act as an offside line.
- Once the second ball is dead, the next group of players go.
-If the Striker has recieved the ball centrally and is facing up the field, they can travel slightly to draw the defenders in and then play the pass out wide.
- -Plenty of overlaps
- STs combine with eachother to allow incoming attackers time to join attack
- If defenders are too tight then set the ball off.
-Can the players maybe play a pass with the top of their foot instead of the inside when facing the defender. When passing with the inside, the defender may read to pass due to the body shape and will have time to intercept due to the time taken for the backlift.
-Weight of pass
-STs make different runs each time.
PROG - One ST makes a dummy run towards the incoming attackers while other ST makes run to the outside channel. Attackers start wider

Orange team in a 4-4-2
White team in a 4-3-3
-Opposition wingers tuck in to allow fullbacks to push up
-Play starts with the Orange GK playing a ball to the White CB, who upon recieving the ball plays a pass to the other CB, who then plays a pass to the FB. Once the FB touches the ball, game is on.
- Orange team only press once the Whites cross the pressing line. Orange team should look to win the ball back and attack quickly.
When the oranges win the ball back, the Whites should press aggressively but once the ball is past the press line, only the Whites CBs and #6 can drop back to defend.
-This will create a 5v3 attaxcking overload with the #7, #11,#8 joining in.
-PROG - now allow White FBs to join on to defend to make in a 5v5.
-Coach the Orange team to stay solid in defence, keeping two compact lines of four.
-Defending team should force play out wide and try to win the ball out wide when the attackers try to force it back inside.
CPs
- Two strikers should mirror the ball so that when the ball is played up, they can combine.
- Dont commit too many players forward in the counter incase the Whites win the ball back and they in turn counter
- Long pass should be encouraged when appropriate
- Receive pass on the back foot when possible to speed up attack
- Once attack breaks down, get back into good defensive shape and start again
