Football Problem
We fail to control posession and play through the lines
Session Objective
In this session I hope to hold effective posession by having opportunities present themselves and break the lines
Organisation
3 teams of 2x5 & 1 by 4. the red team starting with the ball and trying to progress the ball to Blue team with the yellow team defending in a 5v2 situation in the grid and 2 in the neutral zone. if the ball is transferred the blue team are to hold posession and the other yellow players enters their grid and try and win the ball with the other yellows entering the middle zone waiting to cut off the forward pass. Swap Yellows every 4 minutes
Progression
Limit touches every time the team in BP complete 10 passes they get two bonus points. passing on the ground through the zones nothing in the air allowed. Yellow players hole there bib and if they force an error swap with the player who made the error
Team Task
Team in BPO have one pressing the ball and the other trying to steal or intercept it. their team mates need to communicate from the middle zone in terms of left or right press back and so on
Teams in BP need to keep moving into space so there are opportunities to break lines through to the other grid. Agressive calling to demand the team mate hits them
Player Tasks
Limit touches on ball and movement in to space opposite grid always move into space to try and encorage a pass through the grid
Coaches Cues
pressing options, have they dictated the area the ball goes, is there good movement off the ball. are there options presenting themselves to transfer between lines

Organisation
Set up as shown 6v6 +2 GK. GK start from the outside and play the ball from one side of the grid to the other to receive a point
Progression
All passes must be played along the ground. Limit touches to maximum 3 touch and add points not just for transfer but for every line break
Team Task
in BPO 2 banks of three
IN BP maintain shape and try and sit higher than the line so we can break them. shape in BP to represent 3,4,6,10,11,7
Player Tasks
Movement off the ball to present as an option. ability to move away from the ball and create space

Movement, space created, line breaks and passing accuracy

As shown in diagram 2 Y passing set up in the direction shown. Both grids going at the same time and moving off the cones to create space. There is one player putting passive pressure on the 6 to bump and move around
Progression
One touch to increase speed of play
Team Task
Dynamic stretching whilst stationary & communicate where the pass should go or that you want to receive a pass
Player Tasks
Move off the ball and ldrop off cone to create space.

Is your body in a good position to play where you want to go, spacal awareness and not getting in other peoples space or way. passing accuracy, light touch to keep control close
