1v1 in a 8 by 10 space. 2 cones staggered as starting points. 1 player starts a step ahead of the other. Ball is rolled into space by instructor from behind players. Whoever secures the ball tries to protect it for 5 seconds without going out of bounds to score a point. After each turn you start on the opposite cone from the previous turn.
Instruction points :
- 1st step is across other player. Get position 1st, then secure the ball
- take 1st touch away from defender
- get side on and keep twisting/turning away from pressure
- use arms, hips, legs to protect space and ball

1v2 in 11 by 11 space with 4 angled gates for goals. Attackers can score in any gate by passing through AFTER they've taken a minimum 3 touches. After a goal is scored or ball goes out of play, restart like this with a different attacker. Play for 2 mins each round. Rotate teams after 2 mins. Progress to having to dribble through gates.
Instruction points :
- BE BRAVE
- scan to know where pressure is while ball travels and when changing direction!
- protect ball by dribbling with furthest foot to keep it away from pressure
- use arms, hips and legs to protect the ball
- may need to initiate the contact at times to create separartion
- use change of direction as an act of deception (step overs etc)

4v4 SSG. Strikers receive from either keeper who start with a ball. Instructor calls out colour and that keeper plays into striker's feet. Support players on post go and touch corner cones before coming into grid to support. Striker can hold up play or turn and go to goal. Play continues until ball goes out of play or goal is scored. Switch up strikers after 4 or 5 mins.

- scan to see what side pressure is coming from!
- initiate contact to create separation
- go secure the ball, don't wait for it
- get side on and receive with outside of foot when needed
- use arms, hips & legs to protect ball & space

1v1 King's Court (20 mins)
1v1 King's Court in 5 by 5 box. Shielding the ball and moving across disk or pinnie in middle of court to get a point. Can alsoprogress to allowing defenders to get a point for touching the ball. Restart with defender opposite the line attacker starts on. Play for 45 seconds and switch roles
Instruction points :
- side on, in low wide stance (make self as big as possible)
- use arms to feel for defender and protect your space
- use hips and leg strength to protect space
- keep ball on outside of foot, don't get it between your feet
- spin away from defender's pressure
- initiate the contact when possible
