Aim
To tire the GK's out and then make them work with fast accurate feet and lots of saves
Equipment

Move & Set
Aim
To have the GK making simple movements to get the body warmed up and ready for the session
Instructions
The GK will jump sideways over a hurdle (x6)
The GK will then move through 2 cones in a figure of 8 and then move through the cones, set and receive the shot
Service:
c-catch (x2)
scoop (x2)
R & L ground (x2)
R & L mid (x2)
Progression
The coach can take the shot at any time, the GK has to watch for the coach's movement and then move straight to the set position to receive the ball

Pass
Aim
To have the GK moving quickly into a set position after making a bad pass!!
Instructions
The GK will start on his line and facing straight out.
On command, he will move to be in between the 2 red markers to receive a pass from c1, he will control this ball and return to c1.
*passes from the GK must be made with alternative feet - the coach should feed the ball to the relevant side*
The GK will then immediately move to be in line with c2 for a shot on goal.
The GK will recover from this save, return to his goal line and start again (x4)
Both sides to be worked
Progression
1st time return of the pass; bouncing ball, hard pass, wonky pass

Spring
Aim
To develop power in the legs to help push further into dives
Instructions
The GK will start behind a series of speed rings
On command, he will jump from ring to ring using:
2 footed jump & landing
1 legged jump & landing
Backward jump
Alternative leg
*The distances between the rings is to be moved on each rotation*
Once the GK is at the end of the rings he is to move at speed to set in front of the ball - rebounds are live
Progression
The GK will have to deal with 4 more shots leading off to 1 side, which are served as soon as he rises onto 1 leg
We are to try and force the GK to dive as far as possible into each dive

Argh
Aim
To have the GK making quick movements relative to a moving ball
Instructions
The GK will start in the centre of his goal and facing out. (LARGE GOAL)
On command, the GK will move to just past his post and set
c1 will pass the ball to the front of c2, who will run forward and shoot on goal, the GK has to adjust his position to order to get in line with the ball and save the shot.
Progression
c1 can pass the ball to c2 or c3, c2 can also pass the ball to c3, early shots must be taken forcing the GK to make a longer dive

Tight movements
Aim
To get the GK working in a tight area, with awkward movements which must be done at speed
Instructions
In a small coned square, the GK will start on his knees
He will launch himself onto each ball and throw the ball to the coach who is at the side of the square (x7)
