Organization: 40 x 50 yards 2 goals 3 teams (blue, green and orange) each team with 6 players. 6 v 6 in the field (6, 8, 10 - 7, 9, 11)
Instructions: Game starts with a pass to one of the outside backs 2 or 3. the fullbacks create and overload situation 8 v 6 offering plenty of scoring options. When ball leaves play or goal is scored, the two fullbacks go off at the end of the pitch and wait there to return opposite direction. re-start from same end - each team gets three attacks then we switch. rotate teams through. if the attacking team scores the team that socres gets a point as do the fullbacks.
Coaching Points:
improve wide play
get forward quickly, using the overlap/underlap
communciate and combine to get forward.
create desire in outside backs to get forward.
Progressions:
add or remove the 7 and 11 if needed to create more space.

Organization: Normal pitch with crossing zones on the edge of both sides of each penalty area, extending past the area half way to the centre line.
Instructions: Play a 7v7 including keepers. Play starts with goalkeeper and builds up from the back. One Pass must be back to the goalkeeper in the build up. To score, the ball must be passed or dribbled into one of the wide areas and crossed from that area. The Wide areas are for the attacking teams only but players cannot hang around in there.
Coaching Points:
You want to see lots of dribbling and switching play to create speace for movement into the crossing boxes. Fullbacks can run out of defence as the ball is passed between them and the goalkeeper.
1. Play starts with the goalkeeper who passes out to the defenders. the move must include a pass back to the goalkeeper at some stage.
2. The ball must be passed into one of the attacking crossing zones before teams can score.
3. fullbacks are key to the moves here. With no defenders in the way a dribble into the crossing zone is the best option.
4. Make sure th eother members of the team are moving to support the play from the fullback.
5. You want to see players switching play to make use of space. Here the fullbacks conbine with a switch of play to the opposite crossing zone.
Have a third team sitting and waiting.
Progressions:
add two more defenders.
