Warm Up.Pokemon Go

Organization:

1. Area size 30 x20

2. 12 players

3.10 balls

Instructions:

1. Players ( Pokemon catchers) are trying to get as many pokemons (runners)

2. Players will wait for the coach comand: " Pokemon Go"

3. Runners (Pokemon) will then try to run to the other side of the field while players with the ball (pokemon catchers) will try to catch them by hitting them with their balls "pokemon balls" .

4. Have the runners choose who they want to be. eg: Pikachu,Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle.

Coaching Points:

1.Keep your eye on the poke balls and use different movements to not get hit

2.Move quickly across the area

3.Keep your eye on the poke ball when you hit it

4.Try to time the of the poke ball so the pokemons run into them

Organization:

1. Area size 30 x20

2. 5 x 5 Square

Instructions:

Pokemon Catchers ( players) are trying to get the Pikachu (coach)

Players will pass the poke ball and to try to catch Pikachu

It is not easy to get Pikachu. Pikachu has a lot of power and he keeps kicking the poke balls

Coaching Points:

Hit the Pokeballs with the inside of the foot

Play it with a lot of power so the poke ball hits the pokemon and catches it ( Coach goes down)

Organization:

12 players divided in 2 groups

20 balls

8 Yellow cones

Flags= Levels

Instructions:

Players ( Pokemon catchers) are working together to cath as many pokemons and get as many points.

Every time a player knock the ball out of the cone (pokemon) they will run and get it and put it in their side.

Yellow level: Pokemons ( ball on top of cone) are easier to get (knock ball out from cone)= 2 points worth pokemons

Red Level: Pokemons ( ball on top of cone) are harder to get= 4 points worth pokemons

Coaching Points:

Get back your poke ball as fast as posibble

Passing technique-

Inside push pass

Foot creating a "V shape"

Plant foot next to ball point at the target ( Pokemon)

Progressions:

- Pass with weaker foot.

Organization:

Instructions:

1. Players split up into 4 teams and play a round robin tournament where all teams play.

2. Players must not step inside the red cone areas in front of goal. This will stop goal tending. Players need to shoot from outside the area.

Coaching Points:

Over the 8 weeks we would like to start to implement:

1. 3 lines of attack, 1st defender, 1 midfielder, 1 forward.

2. When Teammates create gaps, can player in posession look to dribble into them.

3. When to dribble, Pass or Shoot.

Restarts

(Week 6) the restarts will be played in with a kick in for kidergartners to take a good first touch from a kick in on the ground. Once the player receives and performs 4 pendulums (inside insides) they will then pass to another player on their team and game goes live.
