1v1 Moves (15 mins)

1v1 Moves:

4 players in a group. Two on each end about 15-20 yards apart. First two players go at cone and perform move and exit on side coach tells.

First 3 moves:

exit with outside, L-move, cut-under, scissor

Coaching Points: DO NOT TELL PLAYERS DO GO EVERYTIME. Give players ownership and responsibility of knowing when to go. Accelerate after move.

1v1 Flying Changes (15 mins)

1v1 Flying Changes to Big or Small Goals Queen's Court

***no more than 4 players in a line!!!

3-4 minute games

Scoring: Players are responsible to keep track of their goals. Players move up to queen's court if they score more than 5 goals during the game.

*Coaches make sure players play against different players during the 3-4 minute game.

Once attacker shoots and either scores or misses the next person in line starts an attack, and the person who just shot has to transition to defend.

Big Goal Rotation: Player who just defended becomes the keeper.

Coaching Points: Quick positive and negative transtion "Light Switch"

Overload Flying Changes (15 mins)

Overlaod Game Flying Changes: 30x20 yards

Rules:

Blue player starts by dribbling and has 3 touches to score. Then two blacks make it 2v1. Then two blues make it 3v2. Then 1 black comes on to make it 3v3. Restart with Black team now starting the sequence.

Variations:

Can conintue adding players to make it 4v3 & 4v4.

Coaching Points- Postivie Transition. Play Balls into space so that we attack quickly. Mobility, Support, Team Shape, Decision Making & Creativity

3v3 to small goals and 1 4v4 Game to big goals with sweeper/keeper

Grid: 20x30 yards for small goals.

Competitive Ladder Game

If you win you move to Queen's Court or stay there.

If ball goes out, first player to go and get it, starts with it.

- 4v4 with keeper game: alternate GK's after every goal

- 4-5 min games to ensure high intensity
