Activity 1 (10 mins)
Hoop Game
Space
15x15 yard field
Organization & Instructions
Hoop are scattered on the field
Balls are placed for easy access (Begin without a ball)
A)
Players run in the area until the coach yells hoop
Players must run to and stop in at any hoop
B)
Players run in the area until the coach yells a hoop color
Players must run to and stop in that color hoop
C)
Players perform a fundamental movement (hop, skip, jump, backward, etc.) until the coach yells a hoop color
Players must run to and stop in that color hoop
D)
Give the players a pattern (Red-Yellow-Blue-Red-Yellow-Blue)
Players must run continuously to the hoops in the order
Add a ball and repeat
Progression
Players must collect as many balls as they can and dribble them into their own hoop

Activity 2 (10 mins)
Cross the Jungle
Organization & Instructions
Players are separated into 2 teams
Hoops & Cones are scattered on the field
Balls are evenly distributed in the two nets
Base
All balls start in one net
All players work together to get all the jewels across the jungle
Coaches vs Kids
Players must run across the field avoiding the hoops (trees), cones (rocks), and other players (animals)
Get a ball (jewel) from the opposing team's net (treasure chest)
They must dribble the ball back across the jungle to put the jewel in their chest
Repeat
Play for 1.5-2 minutes per round
Progression
1) Move the location of the hoops and cones
2) If a player touches a hoop or cone they must restart
3) Players may take a ball from the other team

Scatter the balls on the field
Ensure all the players know what net they are scoring on
Be fun & goofy in the game (Lie down in front of the net, move the net etc.)
Be aware of your players. Some players will be comfortable with you stopping them others won't.
